Life can be challenging, and at times, we may need support to navigate tough situations, transitions, and new opportunities for self-discovery that allow us to live authentically. You do not have to be an artist to benefit from art therapy! Anyone interested in exploring their feelings through creative expression can gain from this process.
I offer a humanistic, compassionate, and client-centered approach to my clients.
My clinical training includes:
– Adult education counseling and mental health services
– Alzheimer’s and dementia mental health services
– Art Therapy oriented towards the needs of neurodivergent and disabilty community (for pediatric, children, and teen populations)
– Art therapy for adults within the neurodivergent and disability community
– Museum-based art therapy
– Art therapy within the CIUSSS network
-Public practice and community based art therapy
Art therapy utilizes the artistic and creative process for therapeutic purposes. As an art therapist, I provide a space for self-expression and for working through difficult emotions through art-making. Similar to conventional talk therapy and counseling, art therapy employs both verbal communication and also the non-verbal language of art, which can be revealing and insightful for personal discovery and self-expression. The goal of art therapy is to resolve internal conflicts and address lived experiences while developing healthy coping strategies for difficult situations.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you or someone you know could benefit from art therapy or if you have any questions.
If this is your first time reaching out, please email me a brief description of why you are seeking therapy at this time. We can schedule a 15-minute exploratory call to determine if we would be a good match.

What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy uses the creative process therapeutically. The art therapist offers a space for self-expression and working through difficult emotions through art-making. Just like conventional talk therapy, art therapy uses verbal language, but in addition to that, we use the pre-verbal /visual language of art, which can be revealing and insightful for personal discovery and healing. You do not need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy! Anyone who wants to explore their feelings through art creation can benefit.
With extensive training in clinical and community programs and a deep commitment to a humanistic, compassionate, and client-centered approach, it would be a great privilege to collaborate with you and support you on your healing journey.

What is EcoArt Therapy/ Nature Based Art Therapy?
“Nature-based art therapy is when art therapy is delivered in natural settings, such as gardens or parks, or any outdoor spaces, such as hospital or school grounds. Beyond benefits for people’s physical, mental, emotional and social health, nature-based art therapy can increase people’s connection with nature, which in turn promotes care for, and protection of, nature.
There are also terms that have been used interchangeably with nature-based art therapy. Some of the most common ones are environmental, climate-informed, and eco art therapy. In these terms, the emphasis lies more on the environment, climate change and ecology, whereas nature-based art therapy is a slightly broader term. The emphasis of the sessions may not be directly related to the ecological crisis or climate change, although conversations of this kind may of course arise while spending more time in nature and noticing changes in the environment.
“- Dr Zoe Moula, British Association of Art Therapists
I am currently piloting a closed nature-based art therapy group in collaboration with the NDG Council. If you are interested in being part of a closed nature-based art therapy group, or engaging with this type of therapy as part of private individual therapy sessions please reach out.
Public Practice Art Therapy vs Clinical Therapy
You can see on this site that I do a lot of community facing work that is informed by art therapy and nature based therapy. Clinical Art Therapy and Counselling sessions are distinct from community arts programming. The same way that a counsellor or therapist might offer a workshop or a conference talk to the public or run a podcast ( see Esther Perel), my values as a therapist are to offer both private and confidential and clinical art therapy/counselling sessions, as well as accessible community events that are inspired by art therapy, ecopsychology and community education frameworks that center communal meaning making and bottom-up experiential learning ( John Dewey, Paolo Friere) . Working with community is also an important part of my practice as an artist . You can look to EcoArtWorkshops program for some of my accessible community offerings.
